My apologies for the last post. It wasn’t cool, but I was so shocked and had to let people know about the different kinds of baby poop. Now for a more ‘pretty’ post:

A friend sent me this: a visual guide on baby poop. Thanks! It’s very important to know about your baby’s poop. You can see what he’s eaten by his poop, or you can tell if he’s digesting properly or not. You can even see if he’s allergic to something by looking at his poop! (We’re expecting a hereditary spinach allergy.)

Actually I’ve seen some diapers changed, but this is so… hope you’ve eaten already

More lamps! You’d think these are from Pottery Barn, but it’s all from Restoration Hardware which means everything is made by hand. When talking about Pottery Barn I’m always reminded of the episode on Friends where Phoebe hates Pottery Barn (but ends up liking it!). The above featured lamps are made by Theo Eichholtz (Dutch!) and check out what else he’s made, like the Victorian Hotel Pendant, and 1920′s naval binoculars. Yes, all super expensive, but the heart wants what it wants!

Oh man, this is cool! Look at the pretty lights:

They are by Kozo, and me wants its! I like these kind of industrial lamps. I wouldn’t go for a whole industrial interior (unless maybe for an office or kitchen) because it looks sterile and cold. But the fact that these are lamps makes it warm and cozy. I have weird thoughts on design!

This would look great on a white modern Scandinavian type cabinet or a decrepit wooden apothecary’s table. Well, that’s what I would do… what about you?

Corita Rose chairs

I’m interested in these chairs, maybe it’s because I’m looking for a comfortable one myself. Two actually – one in the livingroom, and one for the nursery. There aren’t any prices listed on the website of Corita Rose, which scares me a little bit. We don’t have a lot of money to spend so maybe I should get a cheap one and reupholster it myself in a funky fabric like this! A nice DIY project for Steffi!

I was asked to take professional pictures of my sister and her boyfriend, like engagement type photographs. The outcome was so cool and so lovely, and I put them on my portfolio website: http://www.hellosteffi.com/.
I wanted to post a selection of the pictures on my blog. Unfortunately,… they’ve just broken up. I know, isn’t it sad! But I promise you, it has nothing to do with me! Actually, whatever the reason is, I don’t feel it’s appropriate to talk about stuff like that on the internet. So take it from me, it’s sad… but over. So I’m left with this shot where the boyfriend isn’t included. It’s actually one of my faves from the shoot. She has such a cheeky grin!

I’ve had this picture on my desktop for a while now, it’s my life motto ever since. It’s not like my kitchen is a mess (it could use a woman’s touch here and there, but it’s an ongoing process isn’t it) it’s the one at work which is… filthy. Without giving up too much information it’s a place where lots of artists and musicians visit. I don’t know how their kitchen is where they live (most of the time they live in squatted houses so you can imagine they don’t do much cleaning) and they think the one at my work is like a hotel to them. To be fair it kind of is, but what harm could it do to wash your own dishes after you ateand clean the counter after you’ve spilled coffee? Tsk, that’s men for you.
In preparation for my final trimester I’ve been downloading a lot. In my head I imagine the last two months being tiring and slow. I’ll be so big by then I can’t see myself moving around much. So I’m watching random stuff like E.R. season 14 and 15. Law & Order SVU season 7 and 9. Where’s 8? I don’t know. Can’t find the torrent. I’m not particularly good at downloading torrents, and it seems to take forever. Also I need to get an external harddrive to save all these shows because now I have to delete them after I’ve watched them to save room. By Christmas time (that’s when I’m due) I’ll have watched the entire history of television. Right now I’m into Mad Men, it’s so exciting I TELL YOU!
It’s a show about the macho world of advertisers (well, I think they’re macho, besides, they slap their secretary’s butts like nobody’s business) and especially the life of the main character Don Draper, who has a very big secret which will reveal itself during the show. Like all very big secrets, they’re nothing that shocking. He’s not secretly gay, he’s not a serial killer,… his secret is no big deal really. The things that intrigue me most is the styling and how well everything is put together. I wish I knew someone who watches it too so I can discuss it.
Also, if you know of a good show or movie, please send me an IMDB.com link of it, or better yet, a link to a torrent.
